The Waikerie Visitor Information Centre is located within Orange Tree Giftmania on the Sturt Highway & is the ideal first stop for all visitors passing through or to the Riverland. Comprehensive Local and Riverland tourist Information, maps, brochures are available as well as the complete range of SATC SA Visitor Guides and a small display of Interstate information.
An extensive range of local produce is available for purchase: dried fruits, olive oils, jams, sauces and immensely popular chocolate dipped apricots or fruits. Diabetic products, non-alcoholic wines and a large range of Waikerie and Australian souvenirs are also available. Local photographer Paul White has a spectacular display of local photographs for sale, complimenting his famous Riverland & South Australian DVDs, which make the perfect reminder or gift from the Riverland.
Sample country fresh warm scones topped by real jam and cream with a cappuccino or a pot of tea whilst sitting on the outdoor deck overlooking the stunning River Views. Videos highlighting the scenic local region or the River Murray’s journey from the Snowy Mountains to the Goolwa Mouth are available for viewing in air-conditioned comfort if weather conditions are not ideal for outdoor activities.
